The most famous religious site in Bangkok is the Wat Pho, the largest reclining Buddha statue in the world. Many people visit the temple each day, and several other Buddhist temples are the Wat Arun, Wat Saket and the Golden Mount, and the Wat Suthat. The Grand Palace is by far the most popular attraction in Bangkok. A former home to the Emporer, the palace has many grounds covering an area over 200,000 square meters. Within the palace walls, the Wat Phra Kaew temples houses the Emerald Buddha. Several areas are still used for royal ceremonies, and these are off-limits to visitors.

Bangkok has a rich cultural scene, as it has been the capital of Thailand for over 200 years. With many Buddhist temples and the Grand Palace, visitors can expect to be dazzled at the artistic wonder of the religious statues and artwork.
