Will there be a earthbound remake?

Right now there is no new earthbound game being made, but the developers, Level-5, are creating a game that's supposed to be reminiscent of it called "Fantasy Life" for the Nintendo DS. It's supposed to come out this year (at least in Japan).

Well Nintendo of America will NEVER make anything earthbound but i think japan will make a remake of mother 1,2,and 3.
