A proper noun is the name of a specific entity such as "Jane" or "Amanda" or "Central High Trojans" or something like that. "Marchers" is almost certainly a common plural noun. It's at least conceivable that "Marchers" could be a proper noun, though: I lived in a town where the high school's teams were known as the "Middies" and "Marchers" isn't significantly more unusual than that.
