Why wasn't Kimberly J Brown in 'Return to Halloweentown'?

Kimberly J Brown was working on a different movie at the time of Return to Halloweentown. The producers couldn't/wouldn't wait for her to finish making it, so they cast Sara Paxton to play Marnie Piper instead.

She actually didnt quit! While they were making the Return to Halloweentown movie, Kimberly already had a part in another movie. The producers didn't want to wait for her to be done with the other movie so they just hired a different girl to play the part of Marnie.
