also, the setting was not right. for instance they needed a big enough school, the meadow, the shops etc. they couldn't build all of them individually so they used Portland.
At least some of it is filmed 20 minutes from Portland, Oregon, at Multnomah Falls. That's where the tall waterfalls with the bridge in front of it is. I think the beach scene looks a lot like Cannon Beach which is just west of Portland and there are shots of Columbia River Gorge as well. Most of it was filmmed in British Columbia

Twilight is set in Forks, Washington. Although Forks is a real place, the movie Twilight is not actually shot in the town of Forks. Furthermore, Stephanie Meyer had never visited Forks, Washington before writing her novel. She simply googled it.

The book and movie take place in Forks, Washington, but the movie was actually filmed in Portland, Oregon.
The book is set in Forks, Washington. The movie is also set there, but it was filmed in Portland, Oregon.
The movie "Twilight" is primarily set in the state of Washington, specifically in the town of Forks and the nearby forests.
Twilight was filmed in and around Portland, Or. They chose not to film in Forks, Wa due to elevated costs.. New Moon is being filmed in Vancouver, Bc. The reason behind that decision isn't very clear but I think it was due to an over populated fan base in Portland, Or (that includes me).
they shoot the movie twilight in forks,Washingtion they shoot twilight!!!!!!!!
No, the cast of The Twilight Saga is not coming to Portland, Oregon to film The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. Along with the previous movie, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, it will be filmed in Vancouver, Canada.
that's a competition question!!Filmmakers of Twilight chose Oregon's Madison High School, Multnomah Falls, Oxbow Park, and town of Corbett to recreate the rainy, gloomy setting of Forks, Washington. Twilight, which is about a teenage romantic mismatch of vampire and mortal, raked in over $70 million in its opening weekend and represents the first #1 box office movie to be filmed in Oregon.
Not really, they just took pictures of forks and inserted them into the movie. La Push really was in the movie. Most of it was filmed in Helena Oregon.

The Port Angeles scenes in the movie "Twilight" were primarily filmed in Portland, Oregon. The city was chosen for its similar aesthetic to Port Angeles and its proximity to other filming locations in Washington state.
