Ilayaraja was the No:1 Music Director at that time so he had to work on several films at the same time but at that time K.Balachandar was working with a release date and Ilayaraja clearly informed his non-availability, but to his surprise the film was released with the background score pulled and cut from his previous films by some music assistants without the permission of Ilayaraja. Enraged by this act, he told that he would never compose for any film from Kavithalaya Productions,now Roja being a Kavithalaya productions film, Illayaraja did not compose for it. Then came A.R.Rehman and now he is part of History.
