To be honest... its an oversight, and because she'd never seek it out, or she'd put the word around and have one in a heartbeat I'm sure. The fact that I found your question because I googled to check if she had already deservedly been given one, shows the chances are you and I are not the only two who think its overdue.

It was the same for Judy Dench. She didn't have one. A few hundred people started asking why... nex thing you know she's a Dame. Time for Annie to get hers.
