In some instances, relaxation can save you life, if you are in danger of a heat stroke or some other serious condition. In most instances, however, relaxing can really help if you are just too tired or too stressed to think or do anything else. Relaxation helps get your mind off of stressful things like life and bills, and telemarketers, annoying phone calls, and bickering and complaining, which, all too often, accompany vacations.

Relaxing once in awhile gives your muscles/body and your mind time to rest and reboot. This helps you think better, work better, and feel less anxious in stressful times.
