The general concept of contemporary art is to let the viewer think, comment, and respond to the art. ... Mostly artists don't make contemporary arts to sell it; they make it to see how would people respond to it. Therefore the process of making the artwork is much more important than the sale.

There is a saying that “art is to express not to impress” and I think it applies to all types of art, especially in the contemporary period.

This only means that we should give our utmost potential in the process of making art as it is more important in showing who you are and putting your heart and passion for your craft rather than giving greater value to its appeal to the consumers.

Because in the end, making art is all about your passion, and passion cannot be paid.
