I really wouldnt consider her "curious", Katniss went there to protect her LITTLE sister, she has no choice but to go her own way , I mean what would you do? You have a fdamily and millions of people watching you on t.v. Plus she has to explore to get to know her surroundings. I mean its not a safe place so you have to be observant

∙ 7y agoThere are many different reasons why she is confused. The main one, however, is that she is confused as to why Peeta is suddenly so distant, when they were so close, and he was so loving during the games.
The answer to her question is very clear though, and I'm almost positive that she knew it too, somewhere deep inside of her. Peeta found out that she was "playing along", when his feelings were never false. In truth, that's what Katniss kept telling herself, though we eventually find out that that is not true, and that she loves him, though she will not admit to it. Not always was she faking it though, as she did care deeply about him, whether in a romantic way or not.
