Simon suggested it because, in his own words, "What else is there to do?" Simon could not bring himself to believe in the existence of a winged creature with teeth and claws that was unable to catch Samneric. To Simon the whole story made no sense and the only sensible option was to go to the mountain and discover just exactly what it was that Samneric had really seen.
Because they were deciding how to go about hunting and making the fort, going back to camp or going up to the mountain
Simon doesn't say a great deal during the Lord of the Flies but the few things he does say tend to have some importance. Perhaps the most important thing he does say is when he speaks to Ralph during the walk from castle rock towards the mountain. Simon says, and I quote... "You'll get back to where you came from."
Simon told Ralph... "You'll get back where you came from." When Ralph questioned this remark Simon repeated twice more.. "I just think that you'll get back all right."

Simon suggests going back for Piggy out of concern. He has been left alone and is basically incompetent in terms of decision making and survival. In addition, Simon is the conscious of the group and demonstrates humanity, compassion and concern while the others are continually losing theirs.
There going to bring back the tallest mountain.
They were going to the Lonley Mountain into the dragon Smaug's domain to take the treasure back from him.
Many reviewers and critics have suggested the Simon symbolises a 'Christ like' figure. Perhaps this is based on his death when trying to bring the news that the beast on the mountain isn't real and his earlier conversation with evil. You could just as easily suggest that Simon symbolises Cassandra, who made true prophecies but was doomed for them never to believed. Simon did foretell that Ralph that he would get back to where he came from. Simon was also correct when he theorised that perhaps there "is a beast but it is just us" but he wasn't believed.
After Ralph had led the way on to Castle Rock and found no trace of the beast the boys headed towards the mountain. Simon spoke to Ralph and said "You'll get back to where you came from."
Yup I suggest going to the back of the toy section to the left
