Why does Micheal Jackson wear band aids on his fingers?

Justin Bieber has said this is because Michael Jackson used to wear bandaids on his fingers. Justin wears bandages on three of his fingers: index, middle, and pinky. This isn't because he is hurt, or, like some say, he has a wart, but because Michael Jackson also wore bandages on the same fingers, same hand. Justin is a huge Michael Jackson fan. However, he may also wear bandaids because he hurt his fingers, or because he plays guitar, the strings hurt his fingers.
