Yes, Bret Michaels does wear a wig. TMZ has learned the 26-year-old long-haired Bret Michael's mane is actually a wig and the "Idol" executives are not too happy about it. It shouldn't matter if he does or not, it's whether he can carry a tune and since he didn't make it in the last final of 'American Idol' it's apparent he doesn't have the voice.

As far as I know Bret Michaels was never a contestant on American Idol and he is most definitely NOT 26 years old. He was born in 1963 which would have made him 26 in 1989. Americal Idol started in 2002 when he was already quite famous and most definitely too old for the show.

From what I have been told he is getting older and as a natural progression of life for most men he is loosing his hair. So in order to keep the same appearance he's had since he started as a rocker many years ago he wears a wig.
