Why do you think the sponsors didn't just send medicine for Peeta?

The sponsors don't give gifts. They donate money to their coach, and the coach uses the money for gifts. Of course, the medicine Peeta would need would be so expensive, that only the government could probably afford it. Or the richest of the richest in the Capitol.
