Music always makes advertisements more appealing. However, people tend to tune-out if they hear monotonous, hypnotic sounds (hello Home Depot) or ads where the music is intended to drown-out motor-mouth ads that have 20 seconds of legalspeak.

As well, with the same idea above, when you come across this same advertisement, you are more likely to study it more in-depth after recognizing the tune.
