Why do animation films take longer to create than filming with actors?

Animations take longer because you have to create each frame. animations you see in films now tend to have 5-8 frames each second. filming with actors doesn't need that. it takes them about a year to do just over 1 hour in animation. i don't know about you but i animate and it's pain staking work.

∙ 14y agoanimations allow more freedom to express certain ideas..e.g. a flim maker can easily create a talking dog in animation than find one in real life to act in a movie.
