Just because someone has a "verified" account does not mean they are well or mentally stable. From 2015-2018 I was stalked online by technically savvy employees of a talentless, deranged, public personality.
I was asked to create fan pages for the personality and directed to their works via online streaming.
I was prevented from warning others, prevented from doing my job (which deals with sensitive/private information), unable to use a cellular, tablet, laptop, or computer without being tampered with, photographed, or recorded, unable to use public Wifi connections (library, cafes, etc.) uninhindered.
They attempted to goad me into making threats in front of my technology, downloaded images of the public personality on my machine, created bogus accounts in my name (email/social media) to paint me as a stalker. I gave them nothing to work with and went offline for 2 years.
Be safe out there friends, and if you can, remember that strangers can wreak havoc in your life through internet connected devices and accounts.
