As stated by Sam Kouvaris on samsportsline.com: I've gotten a lot of emails and calls about what happened to me on Lex and Terry. And a lot of you have asked me in person as well. They needed to clear some money out of their budget and they picked me. It's not a decision I agreed with, clearly, and you can blame it on the economy if you like. But after 15 years on the air with both of them every morning and working with Lex since 1983, I am pretty disappointed. But not my choice. Both of those guys are friends of mine and as I told them more than once, I liked being on the show because I liked being a part of it. I liked the various roles I played there outside of just doing the sports. I do think I still have a "shelf-life" on radio so perhaps I'll show up somewhere soon.
