Now known as Nearly Headless Nick, was beheaded with a blunt axe, but why, one might ask. Nick was killed because Lady Grieve was certain that, being a Griffindor wizard, he could straining her crooked teeth. Somewhere is the magical help, something went wrong and Lady Grieve grew tusks. Nick was then ordered to be killed.

He is nearly beheaded but a very small amount of skin keeps his head attached to his neck. He is upset in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets because he cannot join the Headless Hunt.
