∙ 14y agoHe fell and broke his nose in 1979 and the surgery he had done to fix it resulted in some breathing difficulties, so he had a corrective surgery to sort out the first one, both times he requested his nose be made slightly smaller during the operations to fix it.

In 1979, he broke his nose on the set during a complicated dance sequence that resulted in his first rhinoplasty operation done by Dr. Steve Hoefflin. The operation seemed to effect his breathing and singing abilities and he subsequently did many other procedures afterward.
