Why did Jimmy Ibbotson most recently leave the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band?

It depends who you ask as to the reason Ibby left the group again. His version is that he is getting too old to travel so much. He hates the airports and TSA making him strip down because of the titanium in his shoulder. He hated not being able to play newer music while Jeff Hanna was determined to control the songs in the set and stuck with the traditional tunes they are known for. If you ask the rest of the band why Ibby left you will get several answers. The main few being that they tired of Ibby's moods and fits. They were fed up with Ibby not showing up at the airport when they all had a flight to the next town. Essentially, Ibby really didn't quit on his own. He had some prodding from four other guys who no longer wanted or needed him in their band.
