Why did Berenstain Bears get cancelled?

There was an episode on pbs kids that was never meant to air and it was called the death of brother and sister was a horrible thing that happened when they aired it on pbs kids back in the day I don't remember the exact day or date but it was cancelled because of this episode that should have never aired

PBS Kids did not make any specific reasons on why ''Berenstain Bears'' was cancelled. PBS Kids made lots of shows like Postcards From Buster,Seven Little Monsters,Arthur,Dragon Tales,It's A Big Big World,Reading Rainbow,George Shrinks,Ruff Ruff Man,ZOOM,The Electric Company,Maya And Miguel,Sagwa,Redwall,Cyberchase,WordGirl,Africa For Kids, Clifford The Big Red Dog,Rags,The Big Cunfy Couch,Curious George,and many more including Berenstain Bears and a bunch of them got cancelled. Not sure why.
