It was because of his mother and father. They died to save him, and that kind of act leaves a mark. Their love for him was so strong that it protected him from the killing curse. It is said that it was agony to touch someone marked with something so good. So, as a result, the curse rebounded off Harry and struck Voldemort. Voldemort then became non-human, he became more of a spirit. He needed to share a body with someone. Not being truly alive, he could not be killed.
Harry Potter was the master of the Elder wand, which Lord Voldemort was using. But the Elder wand wouldn't go against it's own master which is how Voldemort died.
Voldemort killed him to try to get to Harry..
b/c harry's scar was a horcrux, meaning it conained a piece of voldemort's soul
Lord Voldemort. Because of the terror he spread in the past, most wizards and witches - with the notable exception of Albus Dumbledore, and Harry Potter - are afraid to pronounce his name.
At the end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows on the 2nd May 1998 during the final battle. Lord Voldemort cast the killing curse at Harry using the elder wand, which Harry was technically the master of. The wand cannot be used against it's owner and so, the wand flew out of Voldemort's hand and Harry cast expelliarmus resulting in the spell hitting a now defenceless Voldemort.
The baldy (and baddy) is Voldemort.
No, he doesn't. The two have a very complicated relationship (see below for details) but they each stay their own beings. Harry's wand and Voldemort's wand share the same "core" - that is, the phoenix that provided the feather for Voldemort's wand dropped two feathers - one of which ended up in the core of Harry's wand, and the other in the core of Voldemort's wand. This provided Harry with the protection of the twin cores - which is never fully explained in the book. Their wands often connect - in short, Voldemort can't touch Harry with his own wand since Harry has the protection of the twin cores. Another relationship is their blood. Harry's mother, when she died, performed old magic - the protection of love. Harry was protected by his mother's love, and Voldemort could not touch him when he had that protection. But in the Goblet of Fire, when Voldemort returns, he uses Harry's blood in the potion. Harry's blood now runs in Voldemort's veins - along with the protection from Lily Potter. Now, Voldemort can touch him. The third and most important relationship is that, on the night he killed Harry's parents and failed to kill Harry, Voldemort accidentally created a seventh Horcrux, which latched itself onto the only living thing it could find - Harry. So though Harry had a bit of Voldemort's soul in him, Harry was still Harry. Despite these connections, Harry never turned into Lord Voldemort
Voldemort dies, Harry does not.
AfterVoldemort was reborn using Harry's blood, he was protected from Lily's sacrifice. Instead of murdering Harry on the spot, Voldemort challenged Harry to a duel. Once Harry had been forced to bow to Voldemort, Voldemort instantly casted the Killing Curse at Harry at the same time Harry tried to disarm Voldemort. Their spells collided and a sort of golden web formed around the two. After a short "battle of wills" which Harry won, Voldemort's want started spewing out projections of recent spells he had cast, some of which had been Harry's parents and Cedric Diggory. Lily and James told Harry how proud of them, and Cedric asked Harry to bring his body back to the school. They all then tell Harry to break the connection from Voldemort's wand, and the projections would befuddle Voldemort, giving Harry time to touch the portkey and return to Hogwarts.
Love. Lily Potter gave her life for her son. Love is the most powerful spell. When she gave up her life, her love remained on Harry. Voldemort can't break through that shield that is why he cant touch Harry
the final battle between harry and voldemort where harry kills voldemort
Voldemort in like Harry Potter? in harry potter, Harry does.
In the Deathly Hallows , the third time with Voldemort killing Harry ( it was in the Hogwarts' Forbbiden Forest) the spell had backfired on Voldemort again. It made Harry go in to see Albus Dumbledore in King's Cross. After Voldemort casts the killing curse, Harry goes unconscious. Dumbledore's spirit leads Harry's spirit to a couple of seats and commends him for his bravery. He acknowledges that he is dead, but says that Harry is probably not. He explains, or helps Harry to figure out, that while Voldemort has just killed the part of his own soul that was embedded within Harry, Harry is still alive because Voldemort reconstituted his own body out of Harry's blood (in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire). Because Voldemort contains Harry's blood, as long as Voldemort is alive he preserves Lily Potter's charm, so Harry can't die at his hand. Thus, paradoxically, while Harry had to die before Voldemort could, Harry can't die while Voldemort lives. They have a double bond, with Voldemort's soul in Harry and Harry's blood in Voldemort.
In the great hall with Voldemort.
Because when Voldermort first tried to kill Harry his mother sacrficed herself for him. It's a little complicated and mabe you'll be confused. Dumbledore said because of love, Lily (Harrys mom) gave herself up which is love. Everything Harrys mother had is now in Harry which is very powerful.
Harry prevented Lord Voldemort from gaining the Philosopher's Stone and returning to power. Voldemort was very weak and was forced to go into hiding, where he remained until 1994 when he was found by Peter Pettigrew.
Marvolo Gaunt was descendent of the Peveralls, right? And Gaunt was voldemort's grandfather. And harry was descendent of the peveralls AS WELL. Which leads to voldemort being harry's uncle.
Harry's one of Voldemort's horcruxes. On the night of Halloween, when Voldemort killed Lily and James, he made Harry a horcrux. Voldemort himself didn't know this fact that time. This is the reason Harry can speak parseltongue.
