Oh, dude, it's like a classic case of plot convenience meets inconsistency. In the Bleach anime, Kisuke Urahara can't enter the Soul Society because of some vague restrictions or whatever. But then in the 3rd movie, they're like, "Eh, let's just bend the rules for the sake of the story." So yeah, it's just one of those things where you gotta suspend your disbelief and go with the flow.
