If you ask about nudity in American media, your question is misguided and replete with ignorance. In the last decade especially, the penis has been showing up in movies, mostly for comedic value. No longer is there a bias towards showing female nudity, rather there has been an about-face where often in a movie you will find male but no female nudity. Examples: Bruno, Fight Club, Borat, The Hangover, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Watchmen, Hall Pass, etc, etc. When there is female nudity you will see only breasts, not the homologous female organ, the vulva. With the prevalence of shaved vulvas in our society, you would think that there would be at least one in a mainstream movie. Well, they is one that comes to mind: Harold and Kumar's bottomless party scene. But again, all of the naturally shaved vulvas (except one) in the movie were covered up with a merkin so that no part of the vulva could be seen. Merkins are extremely widespread in films, suggesting that the media is unable to for some odd reason to show the vulva. Not a legs-spread sort of shot, just a simple standing position where the cleft can be seen as in normal life. Certainly the vulva is unhidden elsewhere, just not in movies. Maybe this will change someday, similar to the pro male nudity movement.

Speaking of ignorance. Apparently JoeZomba doesn't know female anatomy and confuses vulva with Venus mound. No need to repeat about fuzzy blotch over offensive area.
