Jim Morrison

True, but the song "light my fire" was written by the guitarist Robby Krieger and set the pace and fashion for the great majority of Morrison's contributions.

Jimmy Page and Robert Plant wrote the majority, however John Paul Jones and John Bonham also contributed to a lot of the songs. Earlier songs tended to be covers of them current/earlier blues songs with a wide range of writers.

Jim wrote some of the songs for the Doors, but most of them are credited to the entire band (with a few exceptions). "Hello, I Love You" was written by Jim before the Doors band, so the Doors couldn't have written it. Sometimes, Jim doesn't appear in the songwriting credit at all (e.g. "Touch Me" was written by Robby Krieger, and Jim wrote "Shaman's Blues"). It's definite he didn't write the songs on the '72 and '73 albums. Honestly, it's hard to tell, but it's for sure he didn't write all of them. I'm guessing he wrote most of them.

The majority of their songs were credited to The Doors (Jim Morrison, Robby Krieger, Ray Manzarek and John Densmore). See the Wikipedia page for details.
