To make him stand out from the rest
Maybe you're thinking of the song, "How Far from Heaven". For years I was convinced Huey Lewis and the News recorded it, but it's the Los Lonely Boys.
William T. Purdy wrote the melody for On Wisconsin. Carl Beck wrote the lyrics to make it a fight song for the University of Madison. Charles Rosa and wrote the words for the state song. John Philip Sousa thought it was the best fight song ever written.

Admire who,who,who,who,who,WHO?!?!?
You don't have to be a martyr to go to heaven. So no.
AnswerFirst you have to believe there is a heaven and there is a God. Because without a heaven to go to, the rest hasd no meaning. If you believe in God and try to do good to all other people, then you should have no problem. Even if there is no heaven, doing good to other people has its rewards.AnswerHeaven is the place where the Holy and Righteous God dwells. If you want to make God to put you to heaven you have to be holy and righteous as God. No one is holy and righteous enough to go to heaven. Since God loved His creation God did want to take people to heaven. For this, God sent His Son Jesus to take our unholiness and unrighteousness upon Himself and exchanged Holiness and righteousness of Jesus with us. This way, those who put trust in what Jesus did are made holy and righteous by God to be accepted in heaven. Jewish Bible had prophesied about this sacrifice of Jesus in Isaiah 53 and Jesus Himself proclaimed that He came to fulfill this purpose.
In John 6:32 Jesus refers to the origin of the 'true bread from heaven.' Then, in verse 35, He asserts that He Himself is the 'true bread from heaven.'
Jesus did not break the laws of his father in heaven. But he did break laws that sent the Priests up the wall as it were. Like perhaps associating with Greeks or Samaritans. How ever Jesus was deity and he was the son of God, who is the father in heaven. after all Jesus or messiah means, God with us.
When Jesus comes back He will make a new heaven and new earth.
They wanted Him to perform a sign from heaven. Making a mockery of his Ministry
You pray to Jesus.
His death on the cross payed for your sins and enables you to go to heaven, all you have to do is make Him the Lord of your life.
They would number in their millions and might be divided into two groups. The first are those who have never had the opportunity to hear about Jesus, the gospel never having been brought to them. The second are those who have had heard about Jesus but took not the trouble to get to know Him.
Hopefully, I will be taken to heaven. But the question really is ... what will happen to you when Jesus returns? Will you be taken with him to live with him forever in heaven? Or will you be among those who are cast aside? Christians should live in a way that honors Jesus and in a way that will make us unashamed when he returns, for "you do not know on what day your lord will come." And in light of all this, God commands us to reach out with compassion and witness to those who do not yet know Christ.
Christianity teaches that those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior that the blood he shed on the cross will cover their sins and therein you go to heaven. There is no purgatory. Not a lot of religions believe this and they think you have to make up for all the sins you did while on the earth. But Jesus blood covers over all your sins and you are forgiven. It is like God when he sees you, when you are covered in Jesus blood that he is seeing Jesus and not you. You even smell like Jesus. The bible says Jesus is our savior for a reason and there is no other deed you can do that is greater than confessing your sins and believing in the name of Jesus.
you shouldn't need something like that to make Jesus close to your heart. You should accept Him as your Saviour and ask Him in your heart. That's how you can be close to Him. and don't buy crosses with Jesus on it because Jesus isn't on the cross anymore hes been resurrected and He ascended into Heaven :)
