I don"t know for sure, but one of the songs was originally a hymn or gospel song- the Punch line was: Sweet Charity, Redeem us, Lord, How may we love thee more and more. a parody goes- Who made the Lovely Grace Lamour! If she is out there, I always thought those were the right lyrics. The movie is somewhat controversial as there are two different endings. One had a happy conclusion to the story, the other sad or tragic. This has happened with other films, and distortions of plot lines are common.
