John Williams composed the music for the first three movies, including the main theme titled 'Hedwig's Theme'.

Patrick Doyle then composed the music for the fourth movie, Nicholas Hooper did the fifth and sixth while Alexandre Desplat composed both parts of the seventh. All of the movies took inspiration from Hedwig's Theme and often incorporated it into their own pieces.
