There are three different endings in the DVD version. The first version, I think, is the version shown on Television.
In the first ending: In the first scenario, Wadsworth reveals that Yvette killed Mr. Boddy and the cook, under orders from Miss Scarlet, who killed the motorist, Yvette, the cop and the singing telegram girl.
In the Second ending: Mrs. Peacock is the murderer of all the victims.
In the Third ending: Professor Plum killed Mr. Boddy, Mrs. Peacock killed the cook, Colonel Mustard killed the motorist, Mrs. White killed Yvette, and Ms. Scarlet killed the policeman.
These are the killers from the 3rd ending out of 3.
Well their are 3 different endings. 1. In one Ms.Scarlet killed them all. 2. In the other it was Mrs.Peacock 3. In the third Prof. Plum killed "Mr.Body" (who was actually the butler to Mr. Body) Mrs.Peacock killed the cook. Ms.Scarlet killed the cop. Ms.White killed Yvette. Colonel Mustard killed the motorist, and Finally... Wadsworth the butler (who is actually Mr.Body) killed the singing telegram. So then Mr.Green (a undercover cop) shoots Mr.Body, In the hall, with the revolver.
When the movie was first released, there were three endings shown in different parts of the country, so that in Washington the killer was X while in GA the killer was Y.
On the VHS/DVD release, it includes all three endings. The first is Mrs. White, the second is Ms. Scarlett and the third, and what the move tells us "actually happened" is Tim Curry's character, turned out he was actually Mr. Body and was killing off all the people who could cause him trouble.
It depends, but usually the 3rd ending is said to be the "correct" ending (as the segueway in between the 2nd and 3rd endings say "But... this is what really happened")
The 3rd ending has everybody killing somebody, but as to who killed Mr. Boddy it's Mr. Green, in the lobby, with the revolver. This happens just before Wordsworth (Tim Curry) reveals that he is, in fact, Mr. Boddy.
