There have been three Dr.Who movies, the first two made in the '60s starring Peter Cushing as The Doctor, and the latest one in 1996.
In the first two films, 'Dr.Who and The Daleks' and 'Daleks- Invasion Earth 2150AD', The Doctor was not a Time Lord but an ordinary scientist from planet Earth, who had used some of Einstein's theories to create the TARDIS. In this film, the girls consisted of his grandaughters Susan and Barbara, played by Roberta Tovey and Jennie Linden (Barbara was grown up, and love interest was provided by her accompanying boyfriend Ian, played by Roy Castle).
In the sequel, made in '66, Tovey reappears as The Doctor's granddaughter, with Jill Curzon playing his neice Louise. (A third film, 'The Chase', was planned but never made due to the sequel's poor ratings at the box office).
In the third, and latest, movie, The Doctor WAS a Time Lord from the distant planet Gallifrey, and the TARDIS was alien technology. He was played by Paul McGann, and the girl was played by Daphne Ashbrook, although I am unsure of her character's name.

No, it is not the girl who plays Amy Pond in Doctor Who - it just looks like her.
Skylar Gray
That is currently unknown, who she is will be revealed later in the series.
If being doctor is a profession and a girl can study to learn a profession then a girl can be a doctor.
This is my theory to who the little regenerating girl in Doctor Who (episode "Day Of The Moon"). Amy is pregnant, we all know that, and we saw the picture of Amy with a baby in the orphanage. Where was Rory in that picture? Why did Amy tell The Doctor but not Rory? I don't believe, first of all, that the little regenerating girl is River. No, I'm sorry, but I'm not for that theory. The reason The Silence took Amy is because they knew she believed she wasn't pregnant. The Silence pulled a Doctor 10-Jenny somehow moment and somehow took The Doctor's DNA. They used this DNA to impregnant Amy. Amy is now carrying The Doctor's baby for sure. The little regenerating girl in the end of the episode is their child together. Think about it, The Doctor is the last of his kind, the last of the Timelords. No one else we know can regenerate, except for Jenny and I don't believe the little girl is her. If The Doctor's DNA was used to impregnant Amy, then the child would have regenerating powers. I saw a lot of The Doctor and Amy in that little girl, but hey, I'm not Moffat. Anyone have anything to contribute to this theory? Pros? Cons?
