The first goblin Harry meets in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone is the goblin at the desk who we never know the name of.
The second goblin Harry meets is Griphook. Griphook is the same goblin who helps Harry, Ron, and Hermione break into Gringotts in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Petunia Dursley is the sister of Lily Potter and Harry's aunt. Her husband, Vernon, is Harry's uncle and their son, Dudley, is his cousin. In the third book we also meet Vernon's sister Marge. Harry is forced to call her Aunt Marge even though they aren't really related.
Cedric Diggory has a fairly big role! He beats Harry to the snitch in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of azkaban in the Gryffindor vs Hufflepuff quidditch match. In Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire Cedric is champion as well as Harry. They also meet at Stoatshead hill to get the the portkey. Harry and Cedric battle for the cup in the third task and Cedric gets killed by Wormtail on Lord Voldermort's orders. Cedric is mentioned in the following books. In the movies Cedric Diggory is played by Robert Pattinson.

He did meet their ghost state in the last book, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, when he figured out how to open the snitch that Dumbledore left for him. They were able to talk briefly and give him advice, along with others from Harry Potter's past.
Hermione had met Neville Longbottom first, then came asking Harry and Ron if they've seen Neville's toad.
