Was Monica Crosby backup singer for Ike Turner?

I knew Monica years ago and I remember that she mentioned that she had been a backup singer for Tina Turner. I do not remember her mentioning the days that Tina was with Ike. BTW, would love to reconnect with Monica. The last time I saw her she lived in Ft. Lauderdale and fronted for the band, E.J. and Company. Shortly after E.J. died the jazz scene in South Florida kind of died too, and I lost track of Monica. Is she still performing?
