"Musician Louis Panico was my great grand father. He lived on Taylor Street and then moved to Melrose Park. He was famous for Wabash Blues. "

Louis was also MY great Uncle....as musical talent runs strong in our family. While he was famous for "Wabash Blues" he did not write the song. The song was written by the band leader that he spent years playing with.

What Louis was famous for was his orchestra in Chicagoland. They were extremely popular and released several records on the Decca Label which was big in Chicago back then.
