Peter Hedgemont is a fictional character from the Onion News Network. It was uploaded to YouTube by: The Onion, Feb 19, 2009
Alil bit of background: If you Google him, he's a cancer stricken man who stubbornly refuses to believe he has cancer. Though the signs that something is horribly wrong is so obvious, especially that unhealed wound of his face.
Pulling through cancer and pain is inspirational, living in self denial and an illusion is not. I think this guy is just afraid deep down or that he is an idiot for not even giving himself a chance at chemotherapy. Any cancer patient who is inspire by him or whom he inspires may even be tempted to delude themselves and doom themselves.
**In one of those interviews, he actually blanked out with some foam in his mouth. I have yet to heard the excuse for that though it would probably be like "O it isn't the cancer, just some of the milk I had this morning... besides... I was so sleepy".
