Actually, "Young Love" charted in 1957. Interesting situation: The main "Classic" version most of us know is by Sonny James. It went to number One in early january. About two weeks later , a cover version by Tab Hunter (a teenage heartthrob at the time) ALSO went to number one. About a week after that, it was also covered by the Crew Cuts, and even that third version went to number 17.
Good Question.....very interesting situation.
