After the pretty little liars split, Hanna began going to extraordinary (bad) lengths to to become the queen bee. She became mean, she was bulimic/anorexic, smoked, and drank. She has always been insecure about her appearances, (one of the reasons for her eating disorders) therefore most of the time acting purely on impulse.
