Greg Phillinganes (born Gregory Arthur Phillinganes on May 12, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan)
He (only) played the piano. But as you know he was also a composer AND conductor.
They are taken from Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No.1 in B flat major.
My understanding is, he learned to play the piano for "The competition" so that when he was filmed it would appear that he was playing, but another pianist actually played the piece.
Paul McCartney played the bass, John Lennon played rhythm guitar, George Harrison played lead guitar and Ringo Starr played drums. However, when recording in the studio it varied by a lot. Paul played guitar for some songs, John may have picked up the bass, etc.
