Best Answer

Pete Townsend.

Better Answer

Roger Daltrey.

Roger Daltrey was/is the lead singer of the Who but Pete did a lot of vocals contributions as well as being the main song writer and guitarist of the band

Roger Daltrey is and always has been the lead singer. The Who have never split up, although only Roger and Pete survive. Keith Moon died of a drug overdose and John Entwhistle died of cancer. They released the album Endless Wire in 2006. Pete's most recent album was Psychoderelict.

Brad Nowell was the groups singer until his death in May of '96 from a heroin overdose, and he sung all of the songs that they are known for. The two remaining members, Bud and Eric, disbanded after Brad died. In 2009 the two decided that they wanted to make music again, but did not want to disrespect the memory of Brad by continuing on as "Sublime", they are now called "Sublime with Rome. The "Rome" part of the name came from the singer that they got for this incarnation, whose name is Rome Ramirez.
