What is Martha Bratton remembered for?

She was a helpful women in the Revolutionary War; born circa 1750 in Rown, North Carolina. Her husband was a Colonel and she was left alone at home with a hidden stash of gunpowder. The British came and tried to steal it, but Martha Bratton instead blew it up so the British could not get a hold of it. They came again a few years later, demanding to know the location of her husband. Even under death threats she refused to tell, and was left alone after that. After a few more years of war, she started a hospital for the wounded. She got some people to help her and it helped many soldiers get back to the war. Later, in 1816 (the year of her death), the British came and again told her to tell the location of her husband. She again refused and was killed, a year after her husband did in 1815.
