Alison on Pretty Little Liars is her twin sister Cortney Alison had a twin sister called Courtney, they were identical and courtney was jealous of alis life and one time tried to kill her so that she could have alis life. That's when the family knew she was crazy and decided to send her to the Radley, a mental hospital. .She stayed there for a while but then came home for a while because she was going to a different mental hospital, The preserve. While she was home, She stole Ali's a-is-for-Ali ring and pretended to be Ali. She then went outside and talked to aria, Spencer, emily and Hannah like she was best friends with them. And then alis mom took the real Ali by the hand and shouted outside to Courtney (who she thought was Ali) and sed they were leaving for the Preserve. Courtney turned around and said "bye!" the real Ali pleaded with her mom that she was the real Ali but her mom didn't believe her because she didn't have her Ali ring. So Ali went to the preserve and spent four years there, and then came home on the night of the big sleep over . She waited for Courtney to storm out of the barn and wen she did she killed her. The new alison in pretty little liars is alison. alison had a twin (Courtney) who was mentally ill,and so 7th grade year Courtney had to go back, but didnt want to, so she stole alisons ring that had an A on it (to separate the 2 of them and tell the difference) and ran outside to talk to the four friends and so they took alison and locked her away in the mental asylum. so the night they were in the barn, Courtney left when the girls were passed out and ended up running into the real alison whom pushed her in a ditch and buried her alive. so mona obviously was the first A, but once she died, the real alison took over.
