Probably Bart simpson- J.K.Rowling's books have an appeal that is limited to the Western world, as it's mostly only this section of the world's population that can relate to them.

Bart Simpson, on the other hand, is a cartoon character whose appeal extends into Eastern Europe, Latin America, Africa and the Indian Subcontinent. His antics are not confined to being set in a US-European world, plus the fact that The Simpsons have been around for longer than Harry Potter (since '92 in fact), and he's also been marketed more widely as a brand than the Harry Potter series.
