Itachi is the older brother of Sasuke Uchiha and is responsible for killing all the members of their clan, sparing only Sasuke. Itachi is treated as an antagonist for much of the series, however around the time of his death his villainous role is greatly downplayed. It is revealed that he was ordered by the former leaders of Konohagakure to kill the clan in order to prevent the Uchiha coup d'état which would have resulted in war. Despite his reservations, Itachi fulfilled his mission and defected from Konohagakure to become part of the criminal organization Akatsuki to continue protecting Konohagakure from Behind the Scenes.

Itachi has not been featured in the films and original video animations from Naruto, but he is a playable character in most Video Games of the series. His character has been very popular within readers from the manga, having ranked high in various popularity polls from the series. Also numerous anime and manga publications have commented on Itachi's character. His fights are often noted to be "one of the best" in the series. His appearance as an antagonist has been praised by several writers although some considered his initial not to be very surprising. The gradual revelations of his past and its impact on the story has also been praised.Several types of merchandising have also been developed based on Itachi's appearance including figurines and plush.

Itachi uchiha is one of the last remaining members of the Uchiha clan in the fictional universe of Naruto, a manga/anime about ninjas. He was the most powerful ninja in his clan at the time of his great betrayal, as when he killed his family, sparing only his younger brother, Sasuke Uchiha, doing it almost dispassionately, leaving his sibling to cry, telling him that if he wants to rectify this genocide, Sasuke would have to become strong enough to kill Itachi by his own hands. Itachi was told that the only way he could uncover all of his clan's abilities, especially the Mangekyo Sharingan, the ultimate form of the Sharingan. This form was said to only be able to be accessed if a powerful Uchiha killed his best friend, which resulted in Itachi murdering his friend, Shisui, and thus, Itachi earned the ability to use the Mangekyo Sharigan. Since then, he has developed/discovered the two dark arts of the Mangekyo, Tsukiyomi (a hypnosis move that reinacts a hellaciously long crucifixion, including a spear that is continually jabbed under the rib cage) and Amaterasu, the black fire of the sun technique, which takes the form of black fire that requires a kage level seal to extinguish. Though Itachi is viewed through most of the series as a villanous character, he is, infact, a misunderstood character. At first, it is implied that Itachi spared his brother, Sasuke, in hopes that he would obtain the Mangekyo Sharingan, and thus, Itachi would be able to transplant Sasuke's eyes in place of his own, as that is the only way to stop the sight-deteriorating effect that the Mangekyo Sharigan has. But, it is later revealed by Madara Uchiha that Itachi was forced to eliminate the Uchiha Clan by the highest authority of Konoha. (Also known as the Village hidden in the Leaves) The reason was due to fear of the possibility that the Uchiha Clan would try to seize power in the village. Itachi was trained by Madara Uchiha to carry out this task, and he wiped them out as ordered. However, due to Itachi being a good person at heart, he spared Sasuke, allowing him to believe that he killed the Uchiha Clan out of conquest for power. After the massacre, Itachi demanded the safety of Sasuke to be ensured by Konoha, or he would take the entire operation public. The Leaf Village had no choice but to comply, and Itachi joined Akatsuki. Once Sasuke finally confronts Itachi for the final time, Itachi prompts to save Sasuke from the soul of Orochimaru, which was trapped in Sasuke for a duration, and was seeking to possess him. Itachi locked Orochimaru into an endless dream-realm (Which may possibly eliminate Orochimaru's threat for good) and succumbs to his injuries and dies. Madara Uchiha then explains to Sasuke that Itachi allowed himself to be killed by Sasuke, and what his true intentions were behind the Uchiha Massacre. Sasuke, driven mad from learning that Itachi was actually a good person, and that Konoha staged the entire plight, renames his traveling group from "Snake" to "Hawk" and sets off to destroy Konoha.

SASUKE IS DEAD TO or at least I think. I hope he isnt. Storyline:Itachi is Sasuke's brother. He was described as "The pipe connecting Uchiha to Konoha" because he is the only person who bonds together Konoha and the Uchiha clan thanks to Madara Uchiha. The Uchiha clan was being watched by the ANBU to be sure they're not attempting to damage Konoha because of Madara. When Itachi became an ANBU captain, he was ordered by Sandaime Hokage to murder the Uchiha clan and leave, but he left Sasuke alive. After Itachi left Konoha and was considered an S-rank ninja (criminal), he joined Akatsuki and teamed up with Kisame Hoshigaki to capture the Kyuubi after years of leaving Konoha. Though, they seemed to fail and still managed to have a second chance next time. Orochimaru however came to Akatsuki and fought Itachi to take over his body. When Orochimaru failed, he fled Akatsuki. Several months later after having Sasuke on Orochimaru's side, once again Itachi and Orochimaru met and fought. The result was Orochimaru's death and then Itachi left. Sasuke Uchiha and Orochimaru's former subordinates, Jugo; Karin and Suigetsu, formed a team called Hebi of Hawk to get revenge on Orochimaru's (THE FAG) death.

Itachi in the end fought with Sasuke one-on-one while Zetsu was watching. Itachi died and Zetsu informed Madara about the fight. When Tobi came to Akatsuki before Itachi's death, he would've known it was Madara who is Tobi and would've also informed Konoha for Madara's return but it would all seem to fail...

Idashi is the ninja known as the shadow. he is about the same age as itachi (17-18). But this is before shippuden. He is one of the last members of the Uchiha Clan. He was a student of orochimaru and was his best student before kimimaru(bone boy). this is why orochimaru tried to get the sharingan. he wanted the power like idashi.

All of idashi jutus are black like his chidori is black and white like the curse mark chidori his rasengan is gray not blue but his is best. Unlike the narra clan his shadows are mixed with both shadows(like the Narra Clan) and also infused with Chakra.

When idashi meets naruto they fight to see who was the strongest and they find out that the are even. When the idashi comes back to the village of the leaf he revives the forth with his reamimation seal. Meaning at he will stay until he is to die from illness or assassinated. He and shikamaru are very good friends seeing that they have the same base of ninjutsu. they have been teaching each other different types of ninjutsu.

Idashi has a kekke genki that is from his father, that is the posession of black fire as to normal. Madara wanted the ability to summon black fire but he was becomming blind and Idoshens Sharingan doesn't cause blindness he killed his brother but he failed in obtaining the black flame as ninjutsu but he got it in genjutsu which is known as the amaterasu.

Idashi posesses the Sharingan, this allows him to be able to:

1. Copy movement
2. Copy Ninjitsu, Genjitsu, and Tiajitsu(sharingan)
3. See your chakra pressure
4. Control your body at his will (M.Sharingan)
5. Summon fire without using any hand signs(M.Sharingan)
6. Become invisible without having any trace of him. (M.Sharingan)

Idashi posesses one of the Dragons of the Nations. Pyro the Pheniox Dragon is a dragon that has black fire all over his body. and was seal by the father of Idashi, Idoshen. The brother of madara.

Because madara doesn't know about idashi he and saskue defeat him.
