Shreya Ghosal is The Best Female Singer in India only after Lata Ji , Asha Ji and probably Alka Yagnik.
There are three others - Anuradha Paudval , Kavita Krishnamurthy, Sadhna Sargam and a few others.
when I say this, I do not take anything away from Sunidhi Chauhan. She is one of the best too.
I am pretty sure, though, in next few years - Shreya Ghosal will reach the stature very close to Lata Ji and Asha Ji - she is that good. A perfectionist just like Mangeshkars 🙏🏼

StevePersonally I think Shreya Ghoshal is a great singer, she can sing in high, low tune and she can sing any sort of song from "bairi piya" to "chikni chameli" whereas sunidhi chauhan is very good ar singing item song, they're both great singer but i prefer shreya ghoshal over sunidhi
