Stephanie Betts is a Canadian cartoonist and television producer.
In 2006, Stephanie was the "model" featured in the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty video, Evolution, or--The Evolution Of Beauty, which dramatically illustrated the unrealistic and distorted depictions of female beauty in advertising. (The video went "viral" and inspired a number of parodies, spoofs, and send-ups.)
She was then the girlfriend of Tim Piper, who proposed the video to Ogilvy & Mather, the Toronto-based advertising agency for which he then worked and which was then handling Unilever-Dove's advertising account for the Dominion of Canada. (His inspiration for it was the length of time it tended to take for her to make herself up to begin her days.) The two later married.
