Roger G. Bell, now of Bell Talent, Inc., is an American television news executive and former News Director for flagship stations KABC-TV and KCBS-TV, both in Los Angeles, CA. Bell hired and worked with a number of individuals in the news industry, including veteran Los Angeles anchor Paul Moyer, now of KNBC-TV. Bell was replaced at KCBS-TV in 2001 by Princell Hair, the former General Manager of CNN and former Vice President of News for Viacom Stations. Prior to serving as Vice President of News at KCBS-TV, Bell was Executive Producer of News for WNBC-TV in New York, NY and Assignment Editor of NBC Network News in Washington, D.C. While at WNBC-TV, Bell worked with legendary anchors Sue Simmons and Chuck Scarborough, the longest running anchor team in New York television history from Rockefeller Plaza. Bell also headed up news departments at KVBC-TV in Las Vegas and KMGH-TV in Denver. He has been referred to by the National Association of Broadcasters as a television news icon. Bell, a licensed talent agent since 2002, now owns and operates Bell Talent Inc., a television news talent agency operating in the Los Angeles area. He is a 1973 graduate of the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
