Who is Narutos mother?

Kushina Uzumaki. She is a kunoichi of the former Whirlpool country. She has red hair and when she was young she was a talkative tom boy. When she grew up her beauty, personality and Ninjutsu became known to many. It was this very personality and Ninjutsu skill which she would pass on to Naruto. At some point in time she met Namikaze Minato, the Fourth Hokage, and bore his child. When Jiraiya visited the couple during the pregnancy, he allowed Minato to read one of his latest books, a semi-biographical account of Jiraiya's own life. The character in the story was known for his drive and determination. For that reason Minato asked Jiraiya if he would mind if he named his own son "Naruto" after the character in the story. Kushina offered her approval of the name choice. Jiraiya was embarassed and honored. Minato and Kushina lost their lives shortly after Naruto's birth.

Naruto's mother is Kushina Uzumaki.

Naruto got his mothers maiden name because the third Hokage, Hiruzen, didn't want Naruto to know Minato was his father, so he gave him his mothers maiden name.

As well as her maiden name, Naruto inherited most of his qualities from Kushina, such as her personality, tomboyish, talkative, prankster, her style of combat and her ninjutsu prowess, her favourite foods, ramen, her ambition to become the hokage and her nindou, don't give up till the very end!

It is unknown if Kushina is dead or not, but everyone who speaks of her speaks in past tense, indicating that Kushina is probably dead, but it is not 100% certain yet.

Kushina made her debut in chapter 382 and episode 127.

Naruto's Mother appears again on 497 on page 17, when naruto is trying to control the kyubi.

Kushina is dead....she herself says it so...in naruto 499 , after naruto overcomes the kyuubi with the help of kushina's chakra, she herself says tat now she can finally join up with minato...and we all know tat minato is dead
pervy sage said that naruto's mom is in the isumi clan Naruto's Mum - Kushina Uzumaki - Was the precious Jinchuuriki (host) of the Kyuubi (Nine-tailed-Fox) So I don't exactly know how she died. But because I know other accounts of tailed beast Hosts dying I'm going to guess that When Madara Uchiha Used the Nine-Tails to Destroy Konoha, like how the Akatsuki Extracted the Tailed beastsfrom the Jinchuuriki's. He must of killed her In the process of controlling the beast. Or Maybe As Naruto turns into the beast from time-to-time Maybe Using the Mangekyo Sharigan, he used a genjutsu to control her as the beast and Naruto's Dad - Minato Namikaze - Fourth Hokage Sealed her in Naruto with the beast and himself.
