It is I!! Yessir, that was me singing this Joe on the "Blue Medley" and all of those ahh's and ooo's. Chuck Blackwell and I were trying to get a band together, [with Marty Grebb and Michael Anthony], when Chuck and I drawn into the Mad Dog & Englishmen. All of the posts were correct: Yes, Mark found me, as he was writing a book about the Monkees, and as Micky liked one of my songs and he recorded it in about a year after Mad Dogs tour. And yes, Nancy my great friend from the Hollywood Hangover, was el correcto: I had stoke in 2003. I couldn't say my own name - hundreds of songs (around 500 'em) that knew I backwards and forwards - and POOF! I've re-learned a small sack or them, but to actually to put together another band is still more than I would consider at the moment. I was thrilled to be inducting into the Black Music Hall of Fame in 2007, where I grew up in Nebraska. I now live about 50 minutes n/w from Santa Barbara in the Santa Ynez Valley with my better half, Netta, for nearly 30 years. Life is sweet - God is good. Thank you so much for asking about me!
I lost my temper at my Dean of Instruction where I was teaching, not my students. The ensuing argument was "Too hot for mad dogs and Englishmen". The Dean was British, I was the "mad dog".

"Indiana" in the Indiana Jones movies is derived from the name of Indiana's pet dog as revealed in the third installment of the franchise, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Also, George Lucas, the author of the Indiana stories, had a dog named Indiana in the 1970's. His dog was an Alaskan malamute, which is the same breed of the dog in the movie. A dog of the same breed is seen in the scene where young Indiana brings the cross home. However, it is not the dog named, Indiana. In the movie, there is a conversation between Sallah, Marcus Brody, Professor Jones, and Indiana. Sallah asks why Professor Jones calls Indiana, "Junior". Professor Jones tells him (pointing to himself), "That's his name." Then pointing to Indiana, he says, "Henry Jones...Junior." Indiana retorts, "I like Indiana." Professor Jones answers, "We named the 'dog' Indiana!" Sallah laughs and says, "You're named after the dog?" Indiana replies, "I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog."
