Who are Mandy Skaggs and Andrew Skaggs?

Mandy and Andrew Skaggs are the first children that Ricky Skaggs ever had. They are from his first marriage to Brenda Stanley, a beautiful young girl, and the youngest of 12 brothers and sisters ,from the mountains of Virginia. Ricky and Brenda met when a young Ricky (17yrs) went to play music for Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. Years later after dating, the two were married and moved to Lexington, Kentucky. There they had two children Mandy and Andrew. After Skaggs' carer took off and other personal diffrences ,and issues, the two divorced. Leaving Mandy and Andrew behind to live life as "normal" not so financially blessed kids. They both are well rounded and family oriented people, given their "lack of" up bringing. They now are grown up and live happy lives, Mandy is now married and lives in Nashville. And Andrew is married with two of the only grandchildren Ricky has. Noah and Isaiah Skaggs, both boys absolutely idolize and love their Papa Rick, and try to spend as much time with him as they can. So that's who Mandy and Andrew are . Just NORMAL unimportant people.....

---Now my turn to add my two cents. Don't know who wrote this answer above me but let me just correct you on a few things. I am Andrew Skaggs , Ricky's oldest son and I don't know who you are but I can assure you that yes we are "Normal" and we had a very good up bringing, but unimportant is something I disagree with. At least my sister and I don't believe this about ourselves . Don't know where you got or are getting your facts at. Yes I do have the only two grandchildren and yes the do love their Papa Rick (how you even know what they call their grandfather freaks me out) but anyway I find this whole topic crazy. Who asks these types of questions anyway? That being said next time don't go all in with your answer. Mandy and Andrew are simply Ricky Skaggs two oldest children from his first marriage that I can assure you you know nothing about and or why and what went wrong nor is it any of your Business. You make it sound as if we have the plague or are shunned. Your comment about not living in the lap of luxury makes me sick. We both wish We had got to spend a lot more time with our father but I can promise you we wouldn't change a single thing from our childhood. We had loving grandparents on both sides of our family and plenty of aunts and uncles and cousins on both sides as well to be with. We love our father and are super proud of who is is and what he has accomplished . Im Sure he wishes he done some things different and got to spend more time with us but we don't live in the past none of us him included. Forgiveness has set us all free . So watch out what you say about other people and their families. You clearly have been misinformed and why you felt the need to talk about something you know nothing about is just plain crazy to me. My parents I feel did the best they both could do being as young as they were , and I speak for this family (sister included) we love both of you all Mom and Dad so if for some crazy reason you ever read this crap you can see that without getting too caught up in the BS I tried to set the record straight and answer the stupid question of who I am.
