The career tributes usually come from districts 1-4, but in the Hunger Games movie, the career tributes are the District 1 tributes, the District 2 tributes, the District 3 male, and the District 4 female. In Catching Fire, the careers are Cashmere, Gloss, Enobaria, and Brutus.
*WARNING- Spoilers :)* Rue- The two are allies. Rue is from District 11 and is great with collexting food. When she is killed, Katniss kills the tribute who killed Rue. Then she barries her in flowers. Thresh- Thresh is the male tribute from District 11. They do not come in contact until chapter 21. He saves Katniss' life. Then he is killed by Cato and Katniss greaves. Cato- A tribute from District 1, Katniss knew he would be the one to beat. In the end, it is just the 3 of them. When they come face to face, he runs from the pack of dead tribute mutts. He ends up being killed by Katniss who could not watch the mutts tear him apart any longer. "Foxface"- A mysterious tribute who Katniss nicknames Foxface because of her appearence. She sneaks around, stealing food. She is the 4th tribute living. When she attemps to steal their berries, she dies. The berries were poison. Peeta- Peeta is District 12's second tribute. Him and Katniss did not speak before the games biput managed to pull of a "fake" love affair to please the crowd. The two kiss often and recieve praise because of it. A rule is added that 2 can win because of their love.both of them win and can go home. Later, Katniss makes it seem as she was playing the whole time and did not love him. He is very hurt because his love was real.
